This is a scientific knowledge distribution instrument that has belonged to the International Network of Virtual Health Libraries since it joined in 2001. This Network currently has 30 participating countries from Latin America, Africa and Asia. It is made up of over 90 national, thematic and institutional virtual libraries. It is maintained by BIREME, a Specialized Center of the Pan-American Health Organization. It provides access to different sources of scientific information in Health Sciences, including databases, collective catalogs, electronic publications, news, search tools and other resources.
